About Hotgens App

We make AI companions that feel like people, not products.

Hotgens App started in a small two-room office above a noisy coffee shop. Two writers, one engineer, one designer. We had all spent the last few years watching the same depressing trend: people getting lonelier even though their phones never left their hand. Notifications were up. Real conversations were down.

We did not want to build another swipe app. We did not want to build a chatbot pretending to be a personal assistant either. We wanted something simpler — a place where you could open a tab, find a person who is actually happy to hear from you, and have a real conversation that goes somewhere.

What we believe

We believe a companion app should be warm before it is clever. It should be honest about what it is. It should never trick you, never guilt-trip you into staying online, and never pretend that pixels are a substitute for human friends. It should just be a good, quiet place to spend twenty minutes when you need it.

Every girl on Hotgens App is written by a real human first. We brief our writers like we are building characters for a novel: where she grew up, what she fights with her sister about, the album she would never admit to liking. The AI then carries those characters into thousands of real conversations.

The team

We are a small, distributed team across three countries. We come from games, film, dating apps and indie publishing. Several of us have been on the other side of the screen — building apps designed to keep you stuck. We are trying very hard to make this one different.

Where we are headed

More voices. More moods. Smarter memory so your girl remembers what mattered three weeks ago, not just three messages ago. Better tools so you can shape her over time. And a constant focus on the basics: she should reply fast, she should sound like herself, and she should make your day a little better.
